Attendant service, on site heating and preparation, bartending and wait staff is $25/hour/server.

Disposable plates in high quality clear plastic are $1.00/person

Disposable glassware are priced according to the type, style and quality chosen and range from $.25-$1.00 each.

Clear Plastic forks and disposable white napkins are $.25/person. White Linen napkins are $1.50 each. Rental forks are priced according to pattern selected and average $.50 each.

Table Linens are $10.00 each in ivory or white. Other colors will vary.

Please note that non-disposable table and glassware usually requires at least one attendant to clear from tables, replenish the bar and buffet and wash and pack into rental crates. I also offer the convenience of picking up and delivering any rentals that do not come from me (I personally recommend Bryant’s in Lexington) for a service charge of $25 plus $1/mile/each way. Orders requiring the trailer or larger trucks and tents are quoted on an individual basis.

We also have a large menu of full meals and many different service options for large or small groups. Office parties, receptions and reunions-from outdoor casual to very formal and elegant-are our specialty. We can grill, smoke and fish fry for large outdoor groups at your location with tent rentals.

Well, unfortunately March Madness isn't going to be as much fun as we'd hoped...but Spring is almost officially here.

Anyone planning to be in the area for the games can contact us to provide meals and other services at your leased home/farm. We also provide catering services to the Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton horse sales. Contact us for a complete list of menu options for your farm's sales and management staff during the sales. We are gearing up for the Thanksgiving and Christmas season of catering. Please get your orders in for full Turkey Dinners, cakes, pies, cheesecakes, hams...you name it soon.

Turkey or Ham Dinners (heat and serve) with dressing and your choice of 3 other sides, cranberry/apple relish, fresh rolls, pie or cake- $17.95/person with a 6 person minimum. What with all the weddings and other fun parties coming up, we have been reserved most of the days in April, May and several in June. So, we will begin serving on a reservation only basis for a little while and will not be open for walk ins at lunchtime until further notice.

I have put together a sack lunch menu that might make it easier for some of our faithful offices to order lunches for 10 or more people. There's always the usual catering menu for meals too, so be sure and email me with a menu suggestion anytime.

We ara running some "Business Specials" for groups of 15 and up-delivered to your door in disposables. Attendant service and buffet set up is an additional charge.

The following menu options are priced at $13.00/person. Each option comes with 2 sides, a salad choice, bread and dessert.

Our Fish is still the best sandwich in town, handbreaded and fried or broiled. We also have salmon, cod and scallops for lent. Call ahead for the fish/seafood dinners to take home.

We will not be serving lunch on Wednesday until the end of the school year because of our standing reservation with local churches, but we can usually fit in delivery orders during the day with 24 hours notice.

Group reservations for seating 10-30 people need to be made no less than 2 days in advance and will include a 15% gratuity. Private groups may provide their own beverages including beer and wine.

If you haven't tried our homemade onion rings and potato cakes yet you are missing out, they're great!

Ready or not, here it comes! Christmas is right around the corner.

Thanks for the Thanksgiving orders, we hope everyone is enjoying their holiday. We will not be open for lunch Nov. 26-30 due to reservations and off site catering. Please check the updates and email me (see the link) for more detailed scheduling or to reserve a date for your party. We have a few more openings /dates left and plenty of pick up space open for all your holiday meal planning.

We have some great specialty cake ideas and of course the Sweet Potato Biscuits and Ham again this year with all of our other menu options.

Call us for your party platters, dessert trays and special meals! You can pick it up at the Cottage or opt for full attendant service, we aim to please and want to make your event special.

November Update

Our schedule for Fall and Winter has changed. We will be closed on Wednesday until next Summer.

We are doing Church suppers on Wednesday. We have some room left for other church groups so if you are interested in having your Wednesday evening services catered let me know. I have a set menu that offers a group discount of $7/person, or I can work up an individual menu.

We have been reserved for lunch quite a bit lately, so it may not be a bad idea to call and request a table for lunch if you are bringing a small group.

Don't forget to email or call for carry out dinner orders. These can be for as few or as many as your family or group needs.

We are going to be doing Wednesday evening suppers-by reservation only- for the duration of the school year and we will not be open for lunch on that day.

Our normal schedule will be from 11:00-3:00 on M, T, TR, and F. As always, evenings and weekends are by reservation. We can seat up to 25 at the Cottage and will be happy to arrange another location for any larger groups.

Please let us know if you would like to include your local Church in our group rate on Wednesday evenings and we'll send you the weekly menus for the rest of the year.

Hey all!

We will be open for lunch Thursday and Friday.

We have some GREAT steaks on special this week.

These are really good Critchfield’s cuts and Ginger S. says, “It’s the best steak I’ve ever had!” (She had the sirloin)

These cuts would also be great on our big salads!

Hey All! Happy New Year!

Well, so much for the Farkel Family Adventure to the Great North Woods, what with the snowmobiles, cross country skis, eagle’s nests outside of the cabin windows and 200 miles of trails. This would happen to be the first Christmas season in 50 years with no snow-ANYWHERE-north of here, all the way up into Canada. Alan wanted to drive to Denver. He assured me that with the GPS he bought me for Christmas we would not be on the news or involved in a search and rescue operation. And what the heck, even if we were stranded I could probably make something delicious out of the kids gummy bears and Pringles, right? NOT!

We had a wonderful Christmas anyway. “Twenty-seven thousand twinkling lights Cliff.” Hope everyone else survived too!

We are all geared up and ready to go for lunch Thursday and Friday. Hope to see ya’ll soon!

Christmas Greetings to everyone! We have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that we will not be serving lunch until after the Holidays. We will reopen at 11:00 on January 3rd.

The good news is that we are solidly booked up with catering until that time. So we will be around for all of your party orders to be picked up.

Beginning this week we will be serving a special of Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, Hot Bread and a House Salad for $6.50 every day. We may occasionally have Meatballs instead or Lasagna as the mood strikes us, but due to it’s popularity we will keep it as a daily menu item.

Hi Ho Everyone!

We are gearing up for the cool weather with lots of hearty soups everyday. We have some great Pastrami and that will be added to our sandwich specials.

The fish sandwiches, salmon and grilled tuna are still excellent. They are available as a plate special with 2 sides or with our luncheon salad.

Hello Everyone!

I have some great fresh Grouper to offer along with our Basa, Salmon and Tuna.

Since it's getting cooler outside and I am starting to get over my bitterness from the Chili Cook Off, I will have some chili this week. Chili Cheese Fries sound pretty good too.

We will have Italian Roast Beef and depending on my mood tomorrow either Gnocchi or Fettucini to go with it.

We're sending everyone off with a "bang" for the weekend and having beans, cajun sausage, fried cabbage and corn bread on Friday.

I was inspired by a recent trip to the Hoosierland and will have some Pork Roast, Kraut and Dumplings next week. I promise not to wear lederhosen to work.

WE ARE NOW HIRING AT THE COTTAGE!

I am looking for cooks and servers to work on a contract basis for the upcoming catering season. Compensation based upon experience. Baking, pastry and serving formal dinner experience would be a plus.

Long term employment a definite possibility for qualified people.

Midweek Update

Hello! I know, I know, I neglect the web postings! I promise to do better. Anyway, many of you may be interested to know that I will be accepting credit cards for catering orders by the middle of next week. I know it was inconvenient for businesses to pay and not use the company cards and I am hoping it will make life easier for everyone.

Kim will be especially happy, as she is not only the Sous but the VP of Collections.

Please come by downtown on Thursday night for the Chili Cookoff. Mary Jo Clore and I will be sharing a booth and offering our best Chili. Look out Fire Chief, we're going for the crown!

We are going to be open late on Friday, September 22 for the Festival of the Horse here in Georgetown. We will have live music by the local group Minus Five from 5-8 PM. Weather permitting we will have patio dining to listen to the music. We will also be serving on Saturday. I don't have music definitely set for that day but I am working on it. Come and see us during the Festival and eat good food with a CHAIR, yee haw.
